MRP decorated for Decora Ad in Summit International Creative Competition

Stamford, Connecticut — Marquardt & Roche and Partners won a print advertising award for Leviton's line of Decora switches, outlets and dimmers in this year's Summit International Awards. MRP's four color page ad competed in the broad "Consumer Magazine Full Page or Larger" category of the 14 year old international contest.

The silver award winning concept shows a sophisticated woman contemplating a Decora light switch on a wall near a work of art. The headline adds, "What the most fashionable walls are wearing." The ad ran in Better Homes and Gardens special interest publications as well as other consumer books.

The creative competition received entries from 25 countries this year, and was judged by representatives of major agencies including J. Walter Thompson, Wieden & Kennedy, Hal Riney, Grey and Saatchi & Saatchi.

Gerry O'Hara, MRP's Chief Creative Officer, noted, "It's truly a pleasure to create advertising for a product which defines itself by its design. Leviton invented the category of stylish switches ages ago, and all these years later they still showcase a line that's simply beautiful."
