Marquardt & Roche/Meditz & Hackett Wins White Rain Hair Account
Stamford, Connecticut, August 21, 2000 The White Rain Company, a new subsidiary of Diamond Products Company, has awarded its $3 million hair care advertising account to Marquardt & Roche/Meditz & Hackett.
The White Rain brand was previously owned by Gillette, also an M&R/M&H client. The Danbury, Connecticut-based White Rain Company was recently formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Diamond Products Company, one of the country's leading private-label personal care product manufacturers. The agency had prior experience working with
White Rain's new management team through its work on Duracell products.
Maureen Gregory, White Rain's Vice President of Marketing, said, "We need innovative strategic thinking and knock-out creative. And we need it yesterday. I went right back to M&R/M&H because they delivered fantastic results in the past."
Howard Meditz, president of M&R/M&H, added, "Thank you, thank you, thank you." He then offered, "I don’t have time to talk right now. I'm busy on White Rain."
