MRP wins for FUJI at The New York Festivals Print Advertising Competition
Stamford, Connecticut -- Marquardt & Roche and Partners was recognized for its print advertising work for client FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A. at
The New York Festivals 2001 International Print & Radio Advertising Awards.
This year the 43-year-old creative competition attracted more than 6,500 entries from 64 countries. Judging was done by creative and art directors and copywriters in cities across the U.S. and overseas.
MRP's award was for an ad for Fuji's Synapse medical image networking system. It featured a 1940's style photograph of a man lying on his back with an elephant gently resting its huge foot on his face. The headline informed radiologists of the burden they will encounter in their efforts to digitize, store and transmit the large data sets inherent in
X-rays: "Some parts of the electronic medical record are harder to handle than others."
Only two other agencies were recognized for their work in the increasingly competitive medical/pharmaceutical area: Lowe Lintas & Partners for Scholl Foot Care Products and FCB San Francisco for W. L. Gore Vascular Products.
Marquardt & Roche and Partners chief creative officer Gerry O'Hara concluded, "The New York Festivals awards are typically won by multi-billion-dollar agencies supporting worldwide clients. At least we have a worldwide client."
MRP is a full-service marketing communications agency located in Stamford, Connecticut, with billings of a piddling $41 million. Additional billings are gladly accepted.
