MRP
Scores Hat Trick in Spring Creative Competitions
Stamford, Connecticut Marquardt & Roche and Partners
won 16 creative awards for six clients in three separate competitions
this spring, including five first place showings.
Work for clients FUJIFILM, JVC, Crowley Maritime, SCHOTT, Goodway
Technologies and Nexstar Financial won awards in a wide range
of categories including multi-ad campaigns, full-page print ads,
fractional-page print ads, direct mail, brochures and logo design.
Nine of the awards were "Impact Awards" presented to
the agency by the Business Marketing Association, which
has now recognized work created by MRP for a record-breaking 11
consecutive years. MRP's work for JVC was particularly well received
by the BMA, with every one of the ads the agency created during
the past year for the electronics giant receiving an Impact Award.
Two of this season's awards included recognition for logo design,
with the Medical Marketing Association awarding FUJIFILM
Medical Systems an "IN-AWE" award for its DryPix Difference logo,
and the Transportation Marketing & Communications Association
awarding Crowley Maritime Corporation a "Tranny" award surrounding
its "50 Years of Service in Alaska" logo.
In addition to the logo-related Tranny award, Crowley work won
five additional Trannys in various advertising categories of the
TMCA competition, making for the best showing in the contest in
the company's history.
Fuji work won a total of four awards in the BMA and MMA competitions
in the diverse categories of logo design, brochures, direct mail
and advertising, with SCHOTT, Nexstar and Goodway each adding
an additional award to the total.
When asked to comment about the agency's success in the various
competitions, Chief Creative Officer Gerry O'Hara said, "It's
good. The success I mean. I mean the success is good."
